Hi,I've either lost most of my cerebrum or something has changed in SoapUI Pro in 4.6.3. I need to create a new test case and I'm certain I was able to right-click the container level and select 'New Test Case...' from the context menu but now I don't see this. I can create a new Test Suite no problem but I need a test case from which to create the test suite. I've created two test cases previously so cannot fathom why I can't do it now (unless I've got selective amnesia!).I've attached a small image showing where I need to create a new test case (highlighted in red). Have had to black out the project name as this would reveal my employer to the forum and I don't believe they would approve of that.

The part that has blue 'I' icon is what I am trying to add (like 'Accounts API' and 'Customers API' - I now need to add a new one of these). I found it very easy before in 4.6.1 and 4.6.2 but for some reason I don't seem to be able to fathom out how to do it now I've upgraded to 4.6.3.Regards.

That does not work for me. It causes the test case to be created in the Test Suite section (see the attached image highlighted in yellow - 'TestCase 4'). I need to create a new ? at the level indicated by the red arrow. I have been creating these first, then when I am happy, I have been right-clicking it and selecting 'Generate TestSuite...'. Now I cannot seem to create new ? (I don't know what they are called) at the level indicated by the red arrow. The only way I have found is to select 'New Web Test Case', which creates the new ? at the correct level but then the test I am doing is not a web test case and this does not work for me. I don't understand why I can't do this now as I have done it twice before (Accounts API and Customers API).

Hello!

Looks like you are trying to add a test case to one of your interfaces and not a test suite. I am seeing that correctly?

I created a REST Service from URI but see now how the option to rename it is now absent from the right-click context menu.

Hi,

I checked SoapUI Pro 4.6.0 to 4.6.3 and did not see a rename option from the right click menu. If you have found a SoapUI Pro version that has that for a REST service then please give version and attach screen shot.

Hi, I have been able to rename it using the property sheet instead. Using this and the context menu of 'New REST Service from URI' seems to have succeeded as a workaround. It looks like the earlier 4.6.1 and 4.6.2 version have adopted some of the config for 4.6.3 (?) as these also now look different. Do they all use a centralised config file? Anyway, it makes no difference now as I know how to do what I need to. Thanks for your help, this can be marked as resovled.

Please do not mark this as resolved. There is a new problem which I believe is related to this one. After creating a new REST service using the right-click menu option 'New REST Service from URI' I have added a new resource. Under the resource I have added a GET method. Under the GET Method I have created a request. However, I cannot open the request editor, it simply fails to load. Opening the request editor for an existing test works perfectly but adding any new one does open the request editor. I have tried shutting closing and re-opening SoapUI Pro as well as restarting the machine it is on but this does not work. The only way I can get around this is to rename the REST Service so that it begins with 'http://'. It will then allow me to open the request editor. This, however, is not a satisfactory workaround as I need to be able to give everything a friendly name rather than a URI. The 4.6.3 release really seems to be quite clunky. What files do I need to back up in order to rollback to 4.6.2 as this is causing me delays on a time-critical project that I can ill-afford.

Hi,

For your issue in v4.6.3, can you please copy the error you receive in "Error Log" tab or "SoapUI Log" tab that are at the bottom of SoapUI Pro. This can help us in determining the cause of the issue.

As for older version of SoapUI Pro, you can download them from here (http://dl.eviware.com/list_soapui2.html ... 1368619077) and install them in parallel with v4.6.3.
