[Resolved] WebSphere MQ 6.0

Thanks for the quick responding. Yes, that was the exactly link I followed to do the configuration before I posted question. I have no problem at the settings in Provider/Session tab screens of Preferences window (include populated Destination Names list). My problem (in my post) is I can't find the same queue name (or Destination) as Queue Manager.

The Queue Manager is not in the sessions/WMQ drop down list. That only shows the queues that the Queue Manager has. The name of the Queue Manager is set in the property "queueManager" in the Connection Factory configuration. Is there something specific you are trying to do with the queue manager?

Thanks for the explanation to my confusion. I understand a little bit now. So I guess my Hermes1.14 (launched from SoapUI Pro) has already connected with WebsphereMQ. The hundreds of destinations are the queues in QueueMgr. Now I am trying to send text file message (the demo link shows sending xml file) to a empty queue (I tried a few), then I got the Exception error below (see screen shot). Do you have idea?

That error could come because of the amount of messages you are trying to send to the queue, or do to other reasons because the messages are being sent asynchronously. If you do not need the messages to be sent asynchronously then you could try to set property PUTASYNCALLOWED to NO in HermesJMS. That will determine if messages are to be put asynchronously. This is pretty much out of scope for SoapUI Pro and related to WebSphere MQ at this point. I only sent single simple text file, so I guess it is the matter of 'set property PUTASYNCALLOWED to NO in HermesJMS'. Should this property setting be in Connection Factory list in Preferences window?

It should be under the Connection Factory. If not you could try adding it under the Plug In area.

I just figured out that I sent msg file to the wrong queue (not all queues in Q Mgr I could send msg to). Now I send to the correct queue and see no exception error any more (no other error msg either). However, the queue is still empty after tried both types (txt & xml) of file. On the bottom bar in HermesJMS window, the left says 'Send: One message uploaded.' and the right says 'Finished. No messages read'. I have no clue where is the msg?

The message should be present in the queue unless you have another application consuming the message after it is received in the queue. Please check your setup with WebSphere MQ and other software you may be integrating with.

You are right. I just talked to dev team and realized that app consumes the msgs (in sending queue = destination queus) with almost no time. I will get receiving queue name. Is there any way (i.e., groovy) in SoapUI pro (or Hermes) to check receiving queue to verify (&measure travel time) the msgs I sent?
