[Resolved] Running LoadUI without X on Linux

Hello Guys,

I have a problem as follows:

1. Test is created in Soap UI (Windows 7)
2. Load test is created in Load UI based on this test (Windows 7, same box)

Test successfully runs.

3. Load UI agent is deployed to Fedora.

Load UI agent can be started and is successfully detected on the Windows 7 (from step 2)

4. Load UI agent is deployed to Ubuntu Server, after attempt to start loadUI.sh the following message is generated:

Java Web Start splash screen process exiting .....
Bad installation. No JRE found in configuration file: No such file or directory
root@saturn:/opt/loadui# Java Web Start splash screen process exiting .....
Splash: X11 connection failed: No such file or directory

After attempt to start loadUI-cmd.sh it requires arguments, cannot be started in daemon mode.

Probably I did something wrond during configuration, but LoadUI documentation is too scarce and does not describe this issue at all.

What I want to achieve:
I want to be able to control loadui agents from the controller box (Windows 7) and loadui agents are just standing and execute whatever test cases I assign on the controller.

Can you please advise me how can I deploy agents on Ubuntu Server and control all their behavior from controller box? Is it possible?

P.S. http://www.loadui.org/Working-with-load ... cases.html is not helpful
  • Hello!

It looks like you might have mistakenly installed loadUI (the controller) instead of the agent on Ubuntu.

    Was this the case?
