[Resolved] Getting data for Assertion TestStep

Hello,

I installed soapUI Pro 4.5 recently and checked out the new Assertion TestStep. However I don't really get it. Let's say I want to configure this Assertion TestStep to check if a SOAP response contains a value provided in the request. Using the "normal" assertions for a test step I could right-click and select "Get data..." to easily select where the data comes from. Using the Assertion TestStep I can only manually enter the assertion content. Is that a bug or a feature?

    Hi,

    I'm not quite sure I understand where you are missing the "Get Data" functionality, could you elaborate on where you are expecting to find it? Perhaps with a screenshot?

    Please find attached two screenshots whereas the second one shows the "classic" assertion within a test step. The first screenshot shows the new Assertion TestStep.

    Another user gave me the important hint. I accidentially switched the assertion types, i.e. "Contains" instead of "XPath Match".
