From the DataSource view, click the "+" above "Properties" to create custom properties for the data you need in your JDBC request. Then, you can simply access it wherever you want by right clicking and using the "Get Data" feature. Check this tutorial out on soapui.org:

You can disregard some of it that's not relevant to you, but this covers how DataSources, among other things, are used.
