[Resloved] Scenario Based Load Testing.

Hi,

I'm new to Load UI tool. I have read the tutorial of Load UI & got an idea of how to use this tool. As far as i have seen, the tutorail is about a page load, for ex. only moving to particular screen (lets says to google.com). But i need to test some scenarios like what is the request time if a search is made by 5 users.

To be more clear, our product is a warehouse management product. So i want to test a scenario where if 5 users use a search screen by performing a search action. Is there any option for doing such a type of test in load ui. If yes, pls help me regarding the same.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Hi!

Yes, this is definitely possible. You want to create a TestCase in SoapUI for what you want the users to do, and then use the SoapUI Runner in LoadUI to put some load on the server.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have been trying to work on soap ui but im not able to understand it completely. Do i need to work on "Soap UI" tool seperately & connect the test case to "Load UI"? Do i need to download that "Soap UI" tool? How to create the XML files for saop UI? Is it auto-generated or do we need to create that?

Please explain me clearly about the Soap UI process so i can proceed with the same.

Thanks for ur help in advance.

  • Hi!

There are tons of documentation, tutorials and videos about SoapUI, LoadUI and the integration between them at soapui.org and loadui.org.

    Hi Deepa,

Also, if you are interested in testing your tool from the end-user point of view, you may consider WebLoadUI tool (http://smartbear.com/products/qa-tools/load-testing) that is also provided by SmartBear. The "What is the difference between WebLoadUI and LoadUI?" FAQ entry at http://webloadui.org/faqs/webloadui-general.html describes the difference between WebLoadUI and LoadUI tools. And here (http://webloadui.org/forums/f1/webloadui-questions.html) you may ask WebLoadUI-related questions.
