[RES]Groovy step is treated differently when ran from suite

I am trying to loop a set of test steps for a specific amount of runs in the middle of a test suite. I have written a Groovy script to do this. If I disable the Groovy loop script and then run my suit...

There is a soap request and then another Groovy script that runs to check the response of that soap request; it looks for a status and if the one it's expecting is not supplied it runs the soap request again. But I would expect this is happening after the Groovy script is completed and no longer affecting the test runner.
