[Res] soapUI pro 4.5.1 - wrong focus in projects tree

Hi soapUI team,

I discovered a very confusing GUI Bug.
1.) You open a TestCase, TestStep or Project with a double click
2.) You open another TestCase, TestStep or Project with a double click (And do not close the first one)

=> The latest clicked TestCase [step 2.)] will open on the left side (as expected)
=> BUT the focus in the project trees jumps to the TestCase, TestStep or Project of [step 1.)]
I have A LOT of TestCases and it is a really annoying and very confusing Bug.
I have to scroll up or down each time I open a new TestCase.

Can you please fix this

Tack!

  • Hi,

I cannot reproduce this (in soapUI Pro 4.5.1). When I open a second TestStep, the focus of the tree moves to that TestStep.

    Maybe I'm misinterpreting?

    Hi Henrik,

    thanks for your reply.
It is necessary to maximize the first window before you try to open the second one.
    I made three screenshots:

Step1: Start Situation (new started soapUI)
Step2: Double click on "Test Request 1.1" AND maximize it
Step3: Double click on "Test Request 2.1"

=> Bug: Window "Test Request 2.1" opens BUT tree focus jumps to "Test Request 1.1"

I guess this problem and the other reportet bug have the same root.
    Can you reproduce this issue?

Hmmm... strange! The focus problem occurs now in all my latest soapUI Versions (4.0.1, 4.5.0.1, 4.5.1 and 4.5.1.1).
could swear it was not there before. Is there an option to reset the GUI behaviour or does it work as designed?
  • Hi!

I successfully reproduced this behavior, but only when the highlighted settings (Desktop Type and Native LF) were set to what's shown below:

Note that none of these values are default in soapUI Pro (the default values are Tabbed and [checked]). Changing one of these settings to another value will fix the problem. I recommend you to try using the default values for these settings, as it makes soapUI Pro more usable as well.
