Hi Ramkrookie,
As far as I remember, there was a similar issue in one of the old Ready! API versions. It has been fixed. I recommend that you update to the latest Ready! API version (v.1.9), and convert a project to a composite one from it.
Let us know if the issue persists.

I need to clone about 100 test cases, would like to know how to resolve the issue.
1) I don't see any option to rename the individual test case while cloning multiple test cases
2) would like to know what files I need to manually update to resolve the renaming test case issue ('copy of' word is appended by default for each test case)

I think some investigation in our test lab is required here.
