I have the same (or a very similar) problem. I get the same error message "The JVM could not be started. The Maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block the execution."
soapUI 4.5.0 had been working before on this machine.
The only thing that comes to mind is, that a few days ago I updated all my Java installations (I have several JDKs and JREs installed, each in both, a 32-bit and a 64-bit version):
Java 1.6.0 was updated from u31 to u33
Java 1.7.0 was updated from u3 to u5
Not sure whether the two have some correlation, but when I tried to fire up soapUI today I got said error message ...
Any hints or suggestions anyone?
