Oracle database Connection Configuration issue

It is not mandatory to use service name, you can still use sid to connect.

    Hi, Thanks for your reply.

    In our database connection properties, we no longer use SID, we specify service-name.

    That is how we connect even using SQL Developer.

    I have to use service-name to connect instead of SID to connect to database.

    I tried putting service-name value in SID field in connection details of  SOAPUI Pro, but connection failed.

      I do not think, there is really an option. Not aware of any such constraint that you not use. You can find sid by querying database if that is something sid is not known.
