MockResponse in testcase with testrunner

I'm using soapUI 4.5.1 and i'm experiencing the following problem: we have several test cases with mock responses. The tests run fine when run from the GUI. When run with the testrunner (command-line) however, the mock is started but never reached from within the request, from the logging it looks like the response is started before the request is send, which is correct, but the component handling the request always receives a 404 instead of the mock response.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I would really appreciate some help here.
