Usually, the issue is not related to the maven plugin but to the underlying soapui version

the problem is in soapui 4.5.1 and 4.5.2
Give also a try to 4.5.0 as wildcard support has been updated in this version, see the readme (https://github.com/SmartBear/soapui/blo ... readme.txt)
