LoadUI vs SoapUI

A newbie in testing...Looked at both LoadUi and SoapUI websites.

1. What is the main difference LoadUi and SoapUI? Saw the comparison between both @ http://www.soapui.org/Go-Pro/compare-lo ... oapui.html.
So would LoadUI do what SoapUI does plus some extras?

2. What is the cost of LoadUI pro?

    SoapUI is a functional API testing product. LoadUI is an advanced load testing API product. You can use the test cases you create in SoapUI in LoadUI to do load testing along with other components in LoadUI.

    2. What is the cost of LoadUI pro?

    Thanks for the reply.

    Would I be able to load test a windows thick client using LoadUI? I have a windows desktop application which communicates with an application server. I would like to test the application performance if 1000 vusers connect to the application server at the same time. 99.9 percentage of the processing is done at client side.
