I have the same problem and I'm sure it is not because of memory.
I have to repeat one test over and over until I have the chance to not get frozen LoadUI. Mopst of our tests are sending Restful requests created in SoapUI. I looks LoadUI "hangs" when the request ramp gets to the server's breaking point! I mean when I suddenly see the response delays get increased because of the high load, suddenly the LoadUI doesn't respond at all. The worst part is, it doesn't happen all te time!
so I have to check my Zodiac and make sure I'm in a good chance before starting the test (just kidding).
My Machine:
LoadUI Pro
Windows 7 enterprise 64bit
Core i7 + 16GB RAM
