java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

I have a test case that goes through a few thousand records in a datasource. I am seeing that soapUI runs out of memroy for such cases. It seems that for very long loopign tests with datasource loops, this is a quite frequent problem.
Does soapUI maintain the results for each run in memory, there by running out of memory if a testcase has a few a hundred/thousand loops?
I have tried increase the memory in the testrunner.bat file but to no avail. I am invoking soapui via command line.
