java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "cmd.exe" (in directory "C:\axis-bin-1_4

Hi all,

I am a newbie to soapui, thus please pardon if you are well versed with this error and help

1. I downloaded axis2 (axis-bin-1_4) from http://www.trieuvan.com/apache/ws/axis/1_4.
2. I downloaded soapui from soapui.com
3. I unzipped the axis-bin-1._4 folder (there is no bin directory in it)
4. I set the path AXIS2_HOME = C:\axis-bin-1_4\axis-1_4
5. i set the path for JAVA_HOME = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_18
6. I create a new project
7. I navigate to Tools- Axix2 Artifacts
8. I give all the input fields (WSDL, output file name etc) in soapui and
then if I navigate to tools option and I give the path of axis2 as C:\axis-bin-1_4\axis-1_4
and click on OK and then generate

The system gives me an error

java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "cmd.exe" (in directory "C:\axis-bin-1_4\axis-1_4\bin"): CreateProcess error=267, The directory name is invalid

can anyone please let me know where I am going wrong. I have just started to use this soapui and I feel this is a very nice product, I however need some guidance to use it

Regards
Anil

    Hi all,

I was able to solve the problem, it was the issue with my classpath. However now when i click on generate I get an error

The JAVA_HOME environment variable is not defined correctly
This environment variable is needed to run this program
    NB: JAVA_HOME should point to a JDK/JRE

    I have my java_home as C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin

    any help will be appreciated.

Check if the path is correct. I also think that the variable name might be case sensitive, try renaming it to JAVA_HOME
