Is LoadUI dependent on SoapUI
Without using SoapUI, can we start directly load testing in LoadUI?

No it is not dependent on SoapUI.
You don't even need to have SoapUI installed to run SoapUI testcases as LoadUI has the SoapUI Pro engine under the hood, even the opensource version.
