Is it possible to create custom teststeps in SOAP UI?

I know it is possible to create test steps that can be used for sending emails from a Test Case. I went through this blog: http://blog.smartbear.com/api-testing/c ... in-soapui/ But Is it possible...

I think you have answered for your self.

But for your need, not sure if it is really required. It can be achieved using a groovy step, just search for it on the net.
