Thank you for your post. I would recommend that you contact our Support Team here: https://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=ReadyAPI and provide your XML file.
The problem was that I was using the wrong menu option to import my XML file. The File->Import Project successfully imports the test suite, whereas the Project->Import TestSuite option generates that error box.
