Importing soapUI settings from another file

On my PC I went to "File>Preferences" and made changes. I want to save the changes to a file so that I can give it to my co-worker so he can load it into his PC so it can automatically updated his SoapUI Pro settings.

I think "File>Import Preferences" will be able to allow my coworker to import the settings into his PC. But there are 2 concerns I have:
1. Where/how do I get the file that has my settings saved?
2. According to my understanding of this link I found, it seems like they are saying the settings revert back each time SoapUI Pro is closed and then reopened.

I need to give someone a file that has all the settings that I have. Have them load it, and then have it always in their PC. I also want my co-worker to be able to make additional settings to the one I gave him, and then be able to send me his updated file so I can load it into my PC.

Any help would be well appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just pass around your %userProfile%\soapui-settings.xml ?

Have a browse through the SoapUI logs sometime. One of the very first lines is something along the lines of:
    Wed Oct 09 15:15:11 PDT 2013:INFO:initialized soapui-settings from [C:\Users\xyz\soapui-settings.xml]
  • Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no good way to share SoapUI preferences between different users.

soapui-settings.xml is kind of machine dependent since it contains some projects reference and file path of your system. So, just sharing this file might not work out of the box.

But we actually have a feature request (SOAP-430) for this So, that it is possible to share preferences and this is up for prioritization.
