How to verify if certain russian language text is present in SOAP UI Respone or not

the text i want to assert is "являются"which is in Russian language. the Contains assertion  doesnot work for this text. Can anyone suggest to verify this above text in the soap UI response?

The Contains assertion seems to work when I copy and paste the content являются

Did you select the option to use regular expression?

    Yes, I did select the option to use regular expression. 

    In  Raw tab it  is showing the value as "u044f" for the являются.

    is there anything  else that  can be done.

      044f is just the first character http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/044f/index.htm

      but I didn't see that when I tried to create a similar response.

       

      Was the response truncated on the Overview or outline tabs? Does the contains assertion fail with only the first character я in the content?

       

      You wouldn't need to select the regular expression option for this assertion.
