How to extract parameters for POST method requests

In soapUI 4.5, when I double-click on a Request under a Post method, there's a + sign button whose hover text says "Updates this Requests params from a specified URL".

Is there any article / writeup somewhere that explains what this URL is all about or what it returns ?
