High CPU Load on OSX Mavericks when running mock service

Hi,
I've noticed that after launching mock service CPU load grows and my computer starts to spin fans very fast. I'm not load testing. It just takes lot of CPU resources. What is strange is that it happens when I send first SoapUI request (to another webservice, not the mocked one).
When I stop mock CPU Load falls down imediately.

I've also noticed that SoapUI is the only application listed as "Requires high performance GPU" in OSX task monitor in Energy section. I believe it could be caused by some browser embedded or something but side effect of that is that after launching SoapUI my Mac (late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro) turns on high perf GPU and taking more battery.

I'll be glad to deliver more detailed analysis if you guide me a little...

Regards,
Jakub Grabowski.
  • Hi,

Try disabling the jxbrowser in the .vmoptions file located in the <soapui install>/bin directory.
    -Dsoapui.jxbrowser.disable=true
