Groovy Guide/Example Scripts

Yes, and that is very useful but for things that are more complex there is currently very little documentation with decent examples. For example, UISupport's documentation is difficult to understand and finding anything useful for it by googling is, well, difficult.

A repository of different groovy functions that performs common tasks would be useful. Regex, UISupport, TestCase/TestStep controls, etc etc. I know this might not be easy to implement but it would definitely assist in helping people learn and unleash the power that SoapUI contains.

Usually, if you are looking to build something as out of the box as you imply in your question, people manage to find the needed information from above sources.
