functional testing and generating predefined responses
All,
We are in the midst of deciding to buy SOAPUI pro. SOAP UI pro suffices most our web service based testing needs but we need clarification on one feature. As part of our functional testing we have all the input as well as the expected responses from our business users available in the database (or excel).
We want to be able to grab these records from the excel file or database and generate soap requests in an automated fashion.
We would also like to know if soapUI has the ability to match the SOAP runtime responses with the expected response. This expected response could be in an excel file or database.
We are familiar with Selenium to create our test cases to also include test case expected results and have selenium give the pass/fail status. Can we do something similar in SOAPUi where we can have the expected result match with the runtime SOAPUI response in an automated fashion.
Do let us know your thoughts.
Thanks- S
