[Feature request submitted] Export Package

Hi

This question is regarding packaging the soap UI project.

We have certain property files which are not at the path where soapUI projects are are. Is it possible to package a complete project when I export it through soapUI? Without those property files and having complete folder structure in place projects wont work. Always we need to ask to extract project from the source control tool.

    Hi,

    there is no built in way to do this - but you can use the "Resource Root" property at the project level to specify where all your resources are located (property files, etc.. ) - so if you set this to ${projectDir} and save all your files in this directory soapUI will store their path relative to the project directory - which makes it easy to copy the entire project and dependent files...

    It's long time you replied. Now we removed dependency of property files from our projects. Will you consider a suggestion to provide an option whether to include all these resource or not when soapUI project is exported when "Resource Root" property at the project level is set to ${projectDir} or ${workspaceDir}?

    Yes, we can accept this as a feature request (it's registred as SOAPUI-4624 in our internal system) and we'll let you know when we have any more information about this.
