Export LoadUI Project

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a way to export an entire LoadUI project?
As in copy all connections, test cases, configurations and so on into an file and take it to another computer that has LoadUI on it and run it from there? Or am I going to have to recreate the project from scratch on the new computer?

Thank you.

  • Hi,

Yes, definately. If you open loadUI and hover the mouse cursor above the label of a Project icon, you should see a tooltip showing the location of its file in the file system (by default loadUI stores its project files in: <user home>/.loadui/, where <user home> is the current users home directory, for example: d:\Users\dain\.loadui\project-1.xml). Using this path, you should be able to find the file itself, and you can copy it to another computer. Once copied, you need to import the project file into the second computers workspace, which you can do from the Workspace menu, by clicking on "Import Project", then selecting the project file.

However, if your project depends on any other external files, such as a soapUI project for instance, you will also need to copy these files over, or the project won't run as expected.
