Differences with GIT check-ins for Windows and iOS ARM users

I'm hoping someone can answer this question for me . . .

We have people using Windows and iOS ARM architectures with R-API.

We've noticed if someone on the ARM platform makes a change in Groovy code (a simple comment), saves and then checks the local GIT data, it appears as though everything changed instead of just showing one line of code was actually changed.

When a person on a Windows platform makes that same change, saves and checks the local GIT, it shows just that one entry as the difference.

We have checked to ensure all preferences between the users is the same and they are.

Any thoughts on why this happens / occurs?

  • I'm not sure which version you are using, but there is an issue in 3.57.0 that sounds related.

I noticed that comment in the 3.57 release on the GIT issue, but we are using R-API Release 3.53 currently. I'll check to see if we can update the GIT configuration for the Windows and iOS users as mentioned in the other comment to see if that resolves our issue with 3.53.
Thanks for reminding me about the issue in 3.57!
