detail window doesn't work (java problem)

hi guys,

i'm new to SoapUI, but it looks pretty nice though.
i'm runnig SoapUI on a mac (mountain lion) and after installation i run into the following problem;

when i want to view the details in the details window of SoapUI (see image in attachment) i cant click on the details because the details window disappears then.
i think i already know whats going wrong; after installation i got a message to install some java components, but i think i didn't follow the recommendations here, just being stupid.
Now i can't figure out which components i need to install afterwards.
installing SoapUI again doesnt display the message again, unfortunatly :-(
i hope you guys can help me out!

here's my java information;

java version "1.6.0_33"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_33-b03-424-11M3720)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.8-b03-424, mixed mode)

    Today I installed Debian squeeze on my 2nd PC. On the other machine, I managed to get java running but on this one, nothing works and I do not know anymore how I did it on the other one.

    I downloaded JRE from Oracle tarball, v. 7u6, extracted it in /usr/java, made a symbolic link in the mozilla plugin directory to the libnpjp2.so file, but still get the message thet java is not installed. I tried several things but so far no solution. There are a lot of older solutions out there that don't work for me.
    Who can help me with this issue?
