Conditional XPath Assertions
Hi there – new SoapUI Pro user here.
I am wondering what the best practice is for validating XPaths in a SOAP Request that do not always show up, or may show up at certain times based on the value in an adjacent node. This may be two solutions: 1.) setting up assertions on xpaths that don’t always exist, which is ok if my test data is empty or 0 so I don’t want a hard failure, and 2.) setting up assertions on xpaths that will exist only if an adjacent field returns “true”.
Thanks for your help!
