Another performance problem
Hello Eviware guys,
I have been using loadUI for a few weeks now and have found it extremely good. I do, however have a performance issue.
Initially, I installed loadUI on my Atom 455 powered Dell netbook running Windows 7. Performance was totally acceptable considering the low-power CPU and limited (1GB) RAM. I subsequently installed it on my company desktop, a 3GHz E6850 Core 2 Duo running XPSP3 and 2GB RAM and have issues.
For some reason, the first time (and only the first time) any operation is executed after launching the software, it taks *forever* to run. For example, after starting loadUI, closing the "What do to next" pop-up window takes up to 20 seconds. I then double click to open a small project (8 basic test cases inside) - It takes 20 seconds to display the "loading project dialog box" then the actual project opens up a few seconds later. Once the project is open, I double click to open a test case and this takes a further 20 seconds to open. If I close the test case and project and re-open for a second time, they load almost instantly.
During the first-time load, CPU load is negligible. This same issue does nopt happen on my netbook installation.
If you need further info such as versions of loadUI, Java etc, please let me know how to find them and I will happily provide.
Thanks,
Rup
