AfterStep event how to determine how the test step was triggered

I am using SoapUI Pro 5.1.2. I am writing some groovy code in the AfterStep event. I would like to determine if the step has been executed by test suite or directly from test step. I can track this in the test suite listeners such as TestSuiteRunListener I would like to limit the use of events to the only after step.
