Since the last release, Business Tester users have not been able to update Test Run UDFs on executions. The UDF was created and made available to Test Run UDFs in our current project, however users still cannot update it and receive 2 pop-up errors. This is a problem as we are porting the Test Worker ID across executions and issues, and we need to capture it in the UDF instead of just comments or anywhere else. We use that number to ensure testers have a test employee to test with.
I’ve included 3 screenshots below.
- Error messages after updating the Test Run UDF,
- Screenshot of the Business Tester role configuration in QMetry (unchanged since before last release) for my project.
- Screenshot of the UDF configuration
- Screenshot of the test execution screen and Test Run UDF button at test case level
REPLICATION
- Business Tester user in Workday HCM QMetry project creates an issue from within a failed execution
- User expands Test Run UDFs to reveal the Worker ID of Test Subject UDF field
- User enters 9-digit number in the UDF and hits enter to save
- QMetry pops up 2 errors: Failed to save Test Run UDF, and Insufficient Permissions.
Added the permission for Modify Test suite and this enabled the user to write to test run UDF. But it shouldn't really work like that, should it?
Is this something you can fix, as it's hindering our testing?
