Can you have a custom list field be populated by a selection from another field?

I am looking to create a field called "Component" with a list of items and then have a second field called "Sub-Component" that would be filtered with only items that are associated with that Compone...

Thanks for the reply.

Though that is disappointing as we went cloud because we were told there were no differences with on-premises (we would actually get new features faster if we went with the cloud). Is there no way to do something like this with the cloud install?
