The SmartBear MCP server is not itself a test execution engine. It's an integration layer that allows AI assistants (like Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor) to interact with your SmartBear tools using natural language. Installing it locally gives your AI assistant access to SmartBear's APIs, but it doesn't run tests or proxy network traffic to your application.
Whether on-prem testing is possible depends on which SmartBear product you're using for test execution. Could you share which product you're working with? That will let us give you accurate guidance on what's supported for private or internal environments.
