Code formatting and differences - limit differences?

Is there a way to format the versions of a software module being diff'd with the same formatting rules so as to limit the number of diff's flagged?



For example, reformat both the before and after versions of each changed software module with the same formatting rules before creating the review? Then, not so many false differences would show up in the review.
