XSD validation for HTTP request?

Hi,
    I am using Soap UI 3.0.1 (free) for both WSDL SOAP projects and straight XML/HTTP projects.  I saw that I can add a Schema Validation assertion for SOAP messages.  But I don't see this type of assertion for HTTP messages.

Am I missing something or is it only supported for SOAP messages?
