Websocket and JSON?

Hello,

I am a newbie with regards to SOAPUI. We are investigating a tool to help test request-response messages. The message format is JSON and the transmission protocol is websockets. Can SOAPUI be used to test non-SOAP messages transmitted via protocols other than HTTP?
