Web Recording with external browser (IE)

Hello,

is it correct that you cannot do web recording only with the SoapUI internal web browser?
I have problems with several (internal) web applications ( login fields and popups).
So I want to do web recording externaly with the Internet Explorer but I don't find an option to do so.
