[starting] Some basic help needed

I'm a new soapUI user. I want some help to check if what I'm doing is correct. My goal is to check if a web app supports 40 simultaneous user without being slowly. So I started a new generic project. I interacted with the web-app (soapUI was recording it). Once I finished it I created a new load test with strategy Simple. I increased Threads to 40.
Is it enough ? Is it my test valid ?
Do you have some suggestion ?
