SoapUI Pro- Shutting off auto header generation

In pro whenever you open a test it automatically loads all the tags into the header. This is creating problems for my team because some of these headers are only required if they are supplied. So even though I have removed the unnessicary headers from my test any time I open it in pro it jams the headers back in, smashing my test. This problem makes it difficult to consider rolling out pro to our teams because everytime you open a test you break it and eventually someone will forget and check it in blowing up our automation. SoapUI (open source) did not have this problem. Is there anyway that I can shut this off?
