soapui 2.5.1 does not start

I downloaded  soapui-2.5.1-win32-standalone-bin.zip and unzipped.  Running soapui.bat briefly opens a window which then closes ans soapui never starts. 

Am I missing something?

    Hi,

    hard to say.. can you run the bat from a command prompt to see more error messages?

    a cmd window is opened with the message:

    Picked up _JAVA_OPTINS: -Xrunjvmhook -Xclasspath/aC:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MERCUR~1\FUNCTI~1\Java\classes;C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MERCUR~1\FUNCTI~1\Java\classes\jasmine.jar

    Then the window closes and nothing else happens.

    Hello,

    Would you be able to run the installer and try that version of soapUI? If that doesn't work, maybe it can at least lead us to your problem.
