SOAP UI for functional Automation

Question

Hi, nice seeing an active forum here. I am new to SOAP UI and want to create some automated regression tests for some web services that use REST requests. I am a bit confused after looking at the help, can I accomplish this using the standard SOAP UI or do I need SOAP UI Pro to do this?

The requests involve making requests to the webservices and getting positive and negative responses. Also any tutorial to accomplish this in SOAP UI would be great (I did see a video for SOAP UI Pro but not for SOAP UI)

Hi,

You can refer to this document for REST Testing:
http://www.soapui.org/REST-Testing/getting-started.html
It will refer to Pro features but the basic concepts to setup your test scenarios will be the same.
