soap 3.6 Web Recording failing (Unsat Link Error)

Dear Technical Support:

I recently have experimented with soapUI 3.5, then I requisitioned 3.6 to be able to do recording.

Version 3.6 failed with the error I've seen posted on this forum:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: org.mozilla.xpcom.internal.XPCOMImpl.getServiceManager()Lorg/mozilla/interfaces/nsIServiceManager;
at org.mozilla.xpcom.internal.XPCOMImpl.getServiceManager(Native Method)
[etc.]

I can't even open the HTTP Request test step in the soapUI editor; I just get the abovementioned hefty stack trace.

Are there a lot of known bugs in this version related to this usage scenario?

This is installed on Windows XP.

Some things I have considered are https issues (not likely, since this error looks like something completely different) or, as mentioned in another post, a conflict with version 3.5 (?).
