Sampling stops when thread count increases

Hi

I´m using the "thread strategy" (begin at x threads and stop at y threads, after z seconds).
Every time the thread count increases, the sampling stops for a short time (see attached graph, purple line).

Why does soapUI do that?
I´m not sure if the sampling stops, or the entire load test stops for a short time.
