Proxy settings are not operating

Hello,

I've just installed soapUI 3.5.1 on my computer. It cannot load the starter page. Setting the proxy configuration do not work better. using Wireshark, I'm able to see that soapUI completely ignore the proxy settings, not only for the starter page but also trying to load a WSDL.

Any idea to solve that issue ?

Best regards.

  • Hi!

hmm... the 3.6 beta2 should do this correctly.. can you give its nightly build a try?

Sorry, but exact same problem with 3.6 beta 2.
Here is what happend: I click on "Set global soapUI Preferences", I select "proxy settings" page, I enter proxy IP address in "host", proxy port in "port", username and password, no exclude and select "Enable Proxy", then click OK. Next, I click on "Apply proxy defined in global preferences" which was red and then becoms green. Next, I open my "getting started" project, add WSDL, select the URL and click OK. Using Wireshark, I see that soapUI try to open the connection directly to the target instead of using the proxy.

Of course the proxy works perfectly well (this message goes thru it) with all application.

I'm using Windows XP SP3 with all service packs.

  • Hi!

maybe this is just related to a icon-mixup in the toolbar button; it should be red when proxy settings are in use, not green.. can you try that?

    regards!

    That was it !
I strongly suggest to change the tooltip of the toolbar button because it is counterintuitive.
    Anyway, thanks for your help.
