NTLM Authentication - REST API (SOAPUI 5.0.0)

I'm having an issue with SOAP UI 5.0.0 and NTLM Authorisation.

I've created a new REST Project and entered my URI. The API has NTLM authorisation on it so I have set this up as part of the GET request, but when I submit the request I keep getting a "401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials."

I've gone through the usual checks making sure I haven't mashed the keyboard when entering the username or password, I've been into the help docs and made sure that in Preferences > HTTP Settings the Authenticate Preemptively is NOT checked.

I've tried entering DOMAIN\USERNAME or \USERNAME and specifying Domain separately, but so far everything I've tried has returned the same result.

I've tried connecting to the API by just entering the URI into a browser window and entering the credentials and was able to access it and also accessed it using the Chrome Postman extension, so I'm starting to think this might be a bug in SOAPUI?

Has anyone had similar issues and found a way around this or should I just rule SOAPUI out as my tool of choice for this one?

I was wanting to run some tests to assess whether SOAPUI, SOAPUI Pro or LOADUI Pro might be the tool that would satisfy my needs for performance testing so ultimately could be looking to get some licences and send some money in SmartBears direction if I can prove that the tool is capable of handling what I need it to so if there's a SmartBear support member who can help it may well be worth your while
