Mac run problem?

I need a quick means of importing a WSDL and doing some test requests to a service. I've used SoapUI very successfully a couple of years ago on Linux but when I tried to install and use it on a Mac for the first time tonight I have run into a problem. I'm on OSX 10.8.2, java version "1.6.0_43" and installed soapUI 4.5.1. When I run it I see the normal UI appear and there is an ad for the pro edition on the right side. I can create a project and import a wsdl but the ad seems to obscure or overlap the fields window and I can't get it out of the way. I have a vague recollection of an issue when I tried it on Linux but can't remember the details. I've re-installed it a couple of times with no improvement. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
