How add an assertion to read the error log

Hi,

I have a test for which the expected result is connection refused which I see in the soapui log and request log.
I want to add an assertion that will look at the log for the words connection refused using "contains" assertion.
Can anybody tell me what is the messageExchange property that will do this ? or any other way to assert this ?
